The ultimate PlanetBox Launch Lunchbox Kit. Featuring the Launch bento-style stainless steel lunch box, and one small leak-proof container with silicone lid. Select your choice of magnet design. Launch holds 30% more than the Rover at nearly 6.5 cups of food.

Features

A PlanetBox lunch box helps you pack a well-balanced, litterless lunch. Bento-style, food safe stainless steel lunch box keeps most food separate (some crumbs may transfer). While the top and the bottom meet to stop foods co-mingling, it is not leak-proof and not designed to hold wet, messy foods like yogurt and dip. The included leak-proof dipper is for such foods.

you are making a difference:

  • Helps save money, time and packaging waste going to landfill.
  • Stainless steel is a non-leaching, non-toxic material for storing food.
  • Stainless steel is 100% recyclable, meaning less waste in our landfills.
  • The magnets are made out of a synthetic rubber material that has been certified to be free of toxic materials.

kit includes:

  • Launch Planetbox
  • Set of magnets
  • One tall leak-proof stainless steel container with green silicone lid (known as 'dippers').

Keep everything cool with an ice pack.

Choose other accessories such as cutlery, water bottles and containers.

features:

  • No lid to keep track of because it's attached.
  • The latch on the PlanetBox lunchbox is designed for 3+ years to close and open by themselves.
  • Lead free, BPA free and free from phthalates & PVC. 100% FDA approved materials.
  • High quality 18/8 (300 SS) and 18/0 (400 SS, not 200 SS) stainless steel. Food safe and will not leach toxic chemicals when in contact with food. Dipper lids are silicone.
  • Lunch box only is dishwasher safe.

Care & Use

My latch is not working! What can I do to fix this?

You may just need to tighten the latch a little.  Here is a super short video showing how you can easily fix a loose latch:

If this did not fix the issue your lid might  need an adjustment.  This video may help:

Help! I have spots on my lunchbox?

Please see the following information taken from the PlanetBox website:

Some background: On rare occasion we have heard from customers that their PlanetBox is ‘rusting’. They say that what appears on the surface of the lunchbox – usually on the top lid – is rust and it does not wash off.  PlanetBox is made from high grade stainless steel. This type of material is highly resistant to oxidization (rusting).

How you can remove spots:

Corrosion Spots:  Corrosion spots can be easily cleaned up with either some super fine steel wool and a little elbow grease, or a paste of baking soda and vinegar.

Fine Steel Wool: Start by washing your PlanetBox very well under running water. Then take some Super Fine Steel Wool (#000 is one such ranking) and start by lightly buffing the spotted area. Often times it just takes a few strokes under light pressure to remove the spots. If that doesn’t do it, then proceed to work the surface harder with the steel wool pad. This may cause very minor scratches to the surface of the lunchbox, but the tradeoff is that it will almost always remove the offending spots – with no damage to your lunchbox. Rinse with running water as you are going and within no time you’ll have a shiny new PlanetBox to use and enjoy for years more to come.

Baking Soda and Vinegar:   Make a thick paste of baking soda and vinegar, and leave on for at least an hour.   Try scrubbing it with a sponge and/or some fine steel wool.  Rinse and dry.

How should I look after my PlanetBox?

Wash and dry after each use with a chlorine free detergent. The PlanetBox is dishwasher safe.

The Magnets, if they get wet, can cause rust.  The Magnets should be removed from the box when not in use and always kept dry.  The Magnets should not be used inside the box, only on the lid.

    Worth the wait

I’ve been contemplating purchasing these for years but the cost put me off. When the lunchboxes we’ve been using for a number of years finally died I looked at all of the available options & decided I’d rather spend the money on these now than have to replace many lunchboxes over the coming years.

Other than being a bit heavy, my boys are happy with them so far.

    Well worth buying

We've had this lunch box for 6years. It's easy to clean and able to fit a variety of snacks within it. Well worth buying as you won't have to buy replacements, like I've seen many of my friends have to do for their kids.

    My Favourite Lunchbox

I love this lunchbox. It is big enough to fit a variety of different foods and has greater depth than the rover planetbox. I use this box daily.
