Features

the brand story:

Created in 2012 when founder, Brianne West, began making natural beauty bars, in her science degree lab, in response to the 80 billion plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles thrown out globally each year. Since then, Ethique™ (which is French for ethical) has grown out of a Kiwi kitchen into a fully-fledged, award-winning international beauty brand. To date we have stopped over 6 million plastic bottles from being made & disposed of into landfills. By 2025, they aim to hit 50 million.

Now, ETHIQUE are rethinking refillables with their world-first, patent-pending, range of Concentrates that was two years in the making. They provide the concentrated blocks and you provide the water! Each Concentrates bar saves 700ml of water and one plastic bottle from manufacture and disposal into landfill. Only 9% of all plastic ever made has been recycled, and the products in them are typically made up of 70-95% water. But ETHIQUE get it, not everyone likes bars.

you are making a difference:

  • Vegan; plant based ingredients.
  • Plastic free! #giveupthebottle #rethinkrefillables

end of life:

Packaging is plastic free and compostable with no chemical coatings. All boxes and labels will degrade in both the landfill or compost bin. You can also recycle them. They’re made in NZ from PEFC-certified paper stock from sustainably sourced forestry. Zero waste for the bars; use them up!
