DIY Seaweed & Clay Face Mask

DIY Seaweed & Clay Face Mask This revitalising seaweed and clay face mask will deep cleanse and brighten your skin with its simple, natural ingredients. Seaweed powder is a rich source of vitamins, including vitabim B12 and vitamin E, amino acids, minerals, trace elements, and other nutrients. When applied to the skin, seaweed acts as a powerful purifier, that works to exfoliate and draw out impurities while imparting its beneficial properties. Seaweed powder is suitable for all skin types, including dry, aging, and acne prone skin. We have also selected a range of essential oils that are known for their healing, balancing and rejuvenating properties. They are particularly good for dry and aging skin and work really well in this clay face mask.

Ingredients

Method

  1. In a glass mason jar, stir together the seaweed powder and clay using a non metallic utensil (a metal utensil will react with the clay).
  2. Add the water first and mix away lumps.
  3. Add the oil, honey and essential oils and mix until the texture becomes a smooth paste. Add more oil if needed.

How To Use

This recipe makes enough for up to two applications. To use, apply a thin layer to your dampened face and neck with a brush, avoiding the delicate eye area. Leave for 15-20 minutes and wash off with warm water. Tip: Follow with a rose hydrosol toner and light moisturiser.
