Palm Oil Investigations (POI), the Australian "palm oil watchdog", has approved Urthly Organics; this means that every Urthly Organics product is 100% palm oil free. Biome absolutely loves this. After years of asking that products declare palm oil use, we decided to remove every product from our stores that contain palm oil. Palm oil is destroying our environment: it is causing deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia, leading to the displacement and killing of endangered animals, like orangutans. Urthly Organics tries to source their ingredients locally, succeeding with their olive oil, grown in northern Victoria, hempseed oil, grown in NSW, and macadamia oil, which is wholly Australian. Apart from essential oils, many Urthly Organics ingredients, such as lavender flowers, spices and milks, are either certified organic or home grown, making them safe for you and your family. Best of all, there is never any SLS, SLES, parabens, fluoride, titanium dioxide, glycols, fragrance oil and mineral oils, which can be harmful to your well being.
